Gain access to a Sandbox site
If you would like access to a sandbox course with demo quizzes and student submissions to practice applying Accommodation or Moderation settings on a New Quiz, please send an email to bruinlearn-support@it.ucla.edu with the following message:
Please add me to the New Quizzes Sandbox with the Teacher role. My UID is [add your UID here].
Please allow up to 24 hours for processing. Once you are added, you will receive an email invitation with a link to join the sandbox.
Practice adding accommodations
Once you have access to the New Quizzes Sandbox, you can practice adding extra time accommodations for a student.
Using the New Quizzes Sandbox course, navigate to the quizzes page: https://bruinlearn.ucla.edu/courses/173518/quizzes and select a quiz (any quiz) and Add extra time accommodations for one or two students using the Accommodation settings. Once you set Accommodations, you can view another quiz in the Sandbox Quizzes course and view how the Accommodation settings are applied to all other quizzes.
After exploring the Accommodation setting, please remove the Accommodations so that other instructors can explore this feature in the course.
