Overview

The Settings section, before adjusting any settings, looks like this:
Settings Explained
Here is a list of all of the New Quiz Settings and a brief explanation.
Shuffle questions
This allows you to shuffle the questions within the quiz.
Shuffle answers
This allows you to shuffle the answers within the quiz questions.
One question at a time
Clicking this opens up an additional checkbox, Allow Backtracking. If this is unchecked, students will not be able to return to quiz questions they have already answered, and will be warned as such during the quiz.
Require a student access code
Clicking this allows you to enter in an access code.
Time limit
This can be set in hour and minute increments.
Filter IP addresses
Filtering IP addresses allows instructors to designate which IP addresses can be used when a user takes a quiz. This ensures that the quiz is only available to be taken at a certain location, which can be helpful for administering and securing an in-person, proctored quiz.
Students who are not accessing the quiz from within the allowed IP range will encounter a message letting them know their IP address is not authorized.
Allow calculator
This opens up an option for students to use a Basic or Scientific calculator that is available throughout the quiz.
NOTE: There is also an option for instructors to allow use of a calculator at the question level, where the calculator appears for each question where it is enabled.
