 Add Assignment Groups Weight

Bruin Learn has many tools to simplify grading and save time while providing students with meaningful feedback. Instructors can begin by setting up assignment groups with weighted grades.

Add Assignment Groups

Assignment Groups, or categories of graded assignments, can be weighted to create students’ final grades.

1. Click on the Assignments tab in the Course Navigation menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click +Group on the top left.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter a name for the Assignment Group (for instance, Essays) and fill in the percentage of the total grade. Click Save.
   
   

Edit Weights

1. To edit the weight of all Assignment Groups, click the three dots next to +Group, and click Assignment Groups Weight. Here you can adjust the percentage weights of each group.
   
    
   
   
2. Your assignment groups weight total for the course should equal 100%.
   
   
   
   
3. When you navigate to the Bruin Learn Gradebook, you will see these categories and their corresponding weights.
