Why Does a Home Page Matter?
Advantages of a Home Page
A well made home page is helpful in understanding how the course is organized and proves to be engaging and intuitive.
The home page design should communicate a clear path on how to navigate throughout the course content and provide “a sense of the overall landscape of the course” (Poe, Stassen, 2002). Where to begin, how to proceed, where to locate support and resources, and how to correspond with the instructor(s) and/or TA(s) are clearly defined within an effective home page.
