Module 2 Learning Outcomes

 

By the end of this module, you'll be equipped to:

  • Define the responsibilities of the Center for Accessible Education (CAE) and your responsibilities when accommodating a student with a disability

  • Execute the best practices for inclusion of disabled students in your classroom

  • Write an accurate and welcoming syllabus message around student access needs

  • Know what warrants contacting the CAE for questions about an accommodation

  • Understand your rights to deny an accommodation and the rights of the student requesting the accommodation

  • Identify departments and resources supporting students with disabilities and UCLA, including the 
    ADA/504 Compliance Office and the Disabilities and Computing Program (DCP)
