A large part of reading, especially in a non-native languages, is learning how to stay focused. Using your hand/a computer mouse as a guide is the simplest way to improve your focus while reading. This method involves moving/sliding the index fingers or a computer mouse across the page and below the sentence you are reading, thus forcing your eyes to see words at a faster pace. Pacing yourself is the quickest way to learn how to speed read.
